Halo 3 Team Snipers Double EXP Weekend live

Ready to snipe some fools?

Readers are jumping on Sloppy Potatoes looking for Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV, so I have no problem fancying SP as a newsblog for those games. Bungie announced today on their Web site that the next Double EXP weekend is already live.

This time winning Team Snipers players will get that extra double experience boost for in their quest for Generaldom. The only catch is that players need both map packs, the free Heroic and not-so-free Legendary, to play. I have both, played some Fiesta last weekend and hopefully I’ll get a chance to play a game or two of Snipers. Hope to see (snipe) a few of you out there.

I’m not a huge sniper fan because I haven’t practiced a lot with it. I also like my look sensitivity cranked up quite a bit so I can swing and fire at somebody attacking from the backside. It also makes melee easier. However, if I know I’ll be handling a sniper, I turn the sensitivity down a couple notches to increase accuracy.

I’m not that accurate with the snipe even with the speed turned down, but it’s noticeably better at a slower speed. The Bungie guys, and most of the pros, play at around 3 or 4 all the time, so that’s a number I usually dial down to.

I’m interested to see what maps will be integrated into the playlist. I hope there’s a mix of new maps like Avalanche and Blackout and some other maps, like Foundry, Standoff and The Pit mixed in. Should be interesting.
