Too many PS3 games! I’ll never catch up
So I finally broke down and bought a PS3.
Great purchase, not an ounce of buyer’s remorse, thanks to the Slim’s price cut. In fact, I have late-buyer’s remorse. I wish I would have bought the thing months (years?) ago.
For my own personal PS3 launch, I bought Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
I played the shooting gallery of MGS4 and battled halfway through Killzone’s campaign over the course of a week, then Uncharted 2 came out.
The fine folks at the game store talked me into Uncharted 1 and told me to play it first.
I’ve complete about 80% of that game now.
My regret is that there are so many top-line PS3-only games – like the Resistance series, Ratchet and Clank Future series, inFamous, etc. – that I’m not going to play them all.
Ever.
I have little time to play games, but I just purchased Borderlands – it is a must-own for shooter fans – and I’m getting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on launch day.
So, on top of all those campaigns, I’ve got the ridiculously addictive multiplayer component of that MW2 gorilla staring at me, too.
I’m afraid I might not even play MGS4 (I know I need to, stop harassing me), let alone one of the four Resistance and Ratchet games on the console. (Note Ratchet’s latest launched on Tuesday, Oct. 27.)
My only saving grace at this point is that my 360 is at the Xbox360 hospital in Texas for a tune-up.
The thing was locking up like a sonofa… And I couldn’t play ODST Firefight, beat BioShock or prestige one last time in Modern Warfare 1. That deconstipated the whole PS3 purchase process.
I guess me and Sony can thank Microsoft, because if their amazing box wasn’t so shoddily made, I probably wouldn’t have purchased my PS3 and gotten myself into this deluge of great games.
